Beam & Column Padding

Ensure player safety in your sporting facilities with HiTech’s premium-quality column padding. Our custom-made protective padding is designed to keep players safe from dangerous obstructions and steel UC columns (RSJ or I Beams) that are commonly found in sporting halls and gymnasiums. To offer maximum protection, our safety pads fit over the flange on the face of these columns.  

 

WPRSJ Pads: Superior Protective Padding for Columns and Beams

The WPRSJ padding is specially designed for columns and offers outstanding protection. Similar to our wall pads but narrower, they feature the same high-quality materials: OSB board, 50mm thick foam and heavy duty vinyl.

• These pads measure 1800mm in height and are typically mounted 100-150mm above the floor, providing an effective height of 1.95m to clear any surface water or floor cleaning machines
• Rip, fire and mould resistant
• Easy installation with hidden velcro strips, ensuring a secure fit
• U or L shape variants available, with a maximum width of 630mm
• As standard they are 50mm wider than the column and are attached via hidden velcro strips.
• Covers only the face of the column

Post Padding

Protect your players and property with HiTech Sports’ post padding. We supply high-quality post padding to suit a wide range of applications including educational, sporting, and commercial environments.

We offer two styles of post pad:

• Flat wrap around pad: This style of pad is more suited to schools and childcare centres, where once installed, it remains fastened to a post all year round.
• Cylindrical pad: This style of pad has a snug fit and can easily be repeatedly installed, removed, and stored. It is more suited to dynamic organisations such as sports clubs.

Our post padding is custom made to suit any sized posts, featuring a high quality reinforced PVC outer in a wide range of colours (see colour swatches page), and a premium quality environmentally friendly, Australian made, open cell foam inner.

50mm Velcro from top to bottom is used primarily as the fastening system, however, additional fittings such as d-rings, eyelets, and tabs are available. Customised designs with digitally printed artwork are also available.

Our basketball backboard padding is up to FIBA standard and is the same pad used on FIBA certified basketball backstops.

It is double sided and 50mm thick, providing a soft and cushioned surface for players. The padding is also bolted to FIBA size standard backboards, either in steel or aluminium.
